The Pastorate Conference is designed to strengthen, encourage, and inspire those who lead and serve in local churches across Canada. We use the language of “pastor" but recognize that elders, staff without the title "pastor," bi-vocational leaders, pastoral spouses, and church volunteers can all relate to the responsibility of shepherding people, even if it's not their job title. The Pastorate Conference is for all those who love and serve the church in Canada. 

While we serve pastors across denominational lines, you can better understand the convictions that ground our ministry practices in our Statement of Faith.

Yes, for teams of 5+ you will have your registration automatically discounted to $99 each during checkout.

Thanks to the generosity of individuals, partners, and churches we are able to offer registration at a price significantly below our actual cost. That said, we know travel from around the country can be cost-prohibitive for some. Thankfully, some generous donors and partners are helping to offer travel grants to remove barriers for those unable to attend without support.

The conference is hosted by Relate Church (6788 152 St, Surrey, BC). We recommend having a vehicle to use during the conference. 

Parking: There is parking on-site, but we kindly invite you to carpool if you’re able. 

Flying: If you are flying into town, you can utilize Vancouver International Airport (YVR) or Abbotsford International Airport (YXX). YVR is a 40 minute drive to Relate and YXX is 50 minutes. 

Transit: The closest Skytrain station is King George Station, which brings you within a 20 minute drive or 30 minute bus ride of Relate Church. 

Accessibility: Relate Church is an accessible venue for those with wheelchairs or mobility limitations. For any questions, please reach our team at contact@thepastorate.ca  

Hotels: We will be securing room blocks at nearby hotels. Please check back shortly for more information. 

Short-term rentals: We recommend sticking to Surrey, Langley, and White Rock to be within 20-30 minute drives of Relate. Downtown Vancouver is closer to an hour drive, but is a great stay before or after the conference if you are extending your trip.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children as a part of our conference. No childcare programming will be available. That said, those with infants will be able to attend and access private parent spaces to feed, change, and attend to their child as needed.

While we will have great refreshments in the mornings and during breaks, mealtimes will be open for you to choose from nearby establishments. Stay tuned for our recommendation list. During lunches, you are welcome to bring food back to the venue to enjoy alongside others if you wish. 

We are specifically designing this conference to be experienced together, in-person. As such, we will not be offering a livestream. We will be sharing recordings through our website, podcast, and on social media in months following The Pastorate Conference.

To help us plan well, manage conference costs, and reserve space for those hoping to attend, we are able to make your registration transferable to others if you are no longer able to attend.
